The Nintendo Switch version of Rocket League will include new Battle-Cars based on Mario, Luigi and Samus Aran’s gunship from the Metroid series, developer Psyonix announced today.
The Super Mario Bros.-themed Mario NSR and Luigi NSR Battle-Cars will come with a specialized rocket boost called Super Star. The Samus Gunship Battle-Car, which comes in two variations based on Samus’ Varia Suits, will also get a unique boost called Wave Beam. All three cars will be available for free as special unlockables in the Switch version of Rocket League. Psyonix said players will earn them “in-game by completing certain requirements,” promising more details to come.
“Whether or not players use the Mario or Luigi NSR will depend on which team color they select before the match -- Mario for the Orange team and Luigi for the Blue team,” Psyonix said in a release.

Rocket League for Nintendo Switch will be released sometime during holiday 2017.
