In Fire Emblem Warriors’ new trailer, friendship conquers all (update)

Let us strike as one!

Nintendo has revealed a new trailer for the hack-and-slash game Fire Emblem Warriors, and its positivity is heart-warming.

The trailer shows some of the series’ most beloved heroes — including Marth, Leo, Takumi, Robin, Hinoka, Chrom and Camilla — with some putting aside their differences to work together toward a common cause.

Of course, it won’t be all sunshine and daisies for the Fire Emblem gang. This game is heavily inspired by the Dynasty Warriors series — and that means massive battles with dozens of troops. The game will contain a variety of melee, ranged and magic attacks, thanks to Fire Emblem’s talented characters. According to the trailer, the game’s story will follow a major conflict between two feuding royal families.

Fire Emblem Warriors will launch on Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS on Sept. 28 in Japan and Oct. 20 in Europe and North America.

Update: Nintendo has confirmed that Fire Emblem Warriors will launch on Oct. 20 in North America. The text has been edited accordingly.
