Yono and the Celestial Elephants looks like an adorable elephant adventure

Coming to Nintendo Switch and PC in October

Among the many announcements in today’s Nindies Summer Showcase stream was a standout adventure starring an elephant. Yono and the Celestial Elephants is coming to Nintendo Switch (and Windows PC via Steam) in October, thanks to developer Neckbolt Games.

Yono and the Celestial Elephants is described by its creators as a “grand adventure, featuring carefully designed puzzles, treasure hunts, a sprinkling [of] combat and a world full of people.” Players control young Yono, an elephant in a world inhabited by humans, undead Bonewights and robotic Mekani.

As seen in the gameplay trailer above, Yono’s talents include headbutting his enemies, spraying water (or fire) with his trunk and tossing explosives. He can also give rides to chickens.

Yono and the Celestial Elephant will be a console exclusive on Nintendo Switch. It will be released on Switch and PC on Oct. 12.
