Composer Daniel Licht, known for his work on television series Dexter and video games including Dishonored and Silent Hill: Book of Memories, has died at age 60, according to representatives for the artist.
Licht's death was reportedly due to a rare form of cancer that had only recently been discovered. He is survived by his wife Hilary and son Kian.
Licht's worked frequently in scoring horror films, including Hellraiser: Bloodline and Stephen King's Thinner. He later worked extensively in television on shows such as Dexter, Body of Proof and The Blacklist. His video game work includes Dishonored, Dishonored 2, Silent Hill: Book of Memories and Silent Hill: Downpour.
On Twitter, Dishonored series creator and Arkane Studios co-director Harvey Smith said, "So sad to hear of Daniel Licht's passing. Dishonored would not be the same without Dan's music.”
