Here’s C.J. from Grand Theft Auto in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

From Grove Street to the Great Plateau

Owen S. Good is a longtime veteran of video games writing, well known for his coverage of sports and racing games.

Carl Johnson flew a Harrier, robbed a casino, and stole a rapper’s songbook. His adventure in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was truly epic, a resume worthy of one in the land of Hyrule. Now he can, thanks to a modder.

Here is C.J. romping around in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Because it’s a mod, this is being played on a PC via emulator, so don’t expect to do or find this on the Nintendo Switch any time soon.

But watch him carve up that moblin like it was a dumbass Baller parked on the wrong corner in Ganton. I find myself wishing C.J. also had a police motorcycle, so that I can finally finish the vigilante missions, 100 percent the game and get a tank parked somewhere on the Great Plateau.

Disclosure: Carl Johnson’s motion-capture actor is Eddie Goines, the greatest wide receiver in N.C. State history and a classmate of the author.
