The last Overwatch comic took us all around Europe and into the boardrooms of the shadowy Talon organization in Doomfist: Masquerade. Now we’ve gotten a sneak peek at the next comic via IGN, and it’s centered around two very popular characters as of late: Junkrat and Roadhog. Wasted Land is written by Robert Brooks with art by Miki Montlló. Canonically, it seems to take place before The Plan, and while its centered around Junkertown, this is a time before Roadhog and Junkrat were banned from the city and in direct conflict with its enigmatic Queen.
A new Overwatch comic is on the way, starring Junkrat and Roadhog
Wasted Land is centered around Junkrat, Roadhog and Junkertown.

The official synopsis reads:
The Omnic Crisis brought ruin to the Australian Outback. Roadhog knows this better than most. He’s seen it descend into an apocalyptic wasteland. Everything he once knew has been broken down, irradiated, or scrapped. Now all that’s left is Junkertown, the place that hermits, scavengers, brutes, and killers call home. Roadhog hasn’t put it out of its misery. Not yet. But he’s been tempted…
We’ve gotten a Junkrat and Roadhog comic before, with Going Legit, a story that explores Junkrat and Roadhog taking a job from “polite society” to do what they do best: chaos and explosions. Wasted Land looks significantly darker, and it seems to be focused on Roadhog, who has largely been nearly silent and very mysterious up to this point.
Junkertown is currently on its way to Overwatch as an escort map, and it offers some clues as to how Roadhog and Junkrat currently live their lives. We also know that there’s a Zarya and Sombra comic in the works.
It’s a good time to be a fan of the Junkers. Not only have we been blessed with a surplus of lore about these two and their home, but they’ve both been the beneficiaries of recent buffs. Junkrat now deals more damage via faster RIP-Tires and twice as many mines, and Roadhog’s Take a Breather now reduces incoming damage and allows him to move while channeling.
