Ripened Tingle’s Balloon Trip of Love, the sequel to Nintendo DS curiosity Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, is now playable in English, thanks to a fan-created translation. A translation patch, more than five years in the making, is available to download from the project’s official website.

Nintendo and developer Vanpool released Ripened Tingle’s Balloon Trip of Love in 2009. Unlike its predecessor, the game was never officially translated or released outside of Japan. So if you’re not fluent in Japanese and have a legally obtained ROM of Ripened Tingle’s Balloon Trip of Love, now’s your chance.

Ripened Tingle’s Balloon Trip of Love gives players another opportunity to play as Tingle, a semi-recurring character in the Zelda series starting with 2000’s The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. In Balloon Trip of Love, players explore a picture book in a romantic puzzle adventure starring Tingle and a trio of fellow adventurers inspired by the Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion and Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz.
