Microsoft’s next offering of free games for Xbox Live Gold subscribers is all about assassins and cars.
The lineup for February 2018 is led by Shadow Warrior, Flying Wild Hog’s 2013 reboot of the late-’90s first-person shooter. It will be free all month long on Xbox One. The other Xbox One title for the month is Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India, the downloadable spinoff starring Arbaaz Mir that was released in January 2016. It will be available free from Feb. 16 to March 15.
February’s two free Xbox 360 games are two very different takes on vehicular mayhem. First up is Split/Second, Black Rock Studio’s beloved stunt racing game set in a reality TV show. It will go free for the first half of the month. The 2010 remake of Crazy Taxi, a Sega Dreamcast classic, will be free from Feb. 16-28. As always, both of the Xbox 360 titles will be playable on Xbox One via backward compatibility.
In the meantime, Gold subscribers can still download some of the January games.
