Sony has revealed which ten games were the most downloaded titles on the PlayStation Network in 2017, and it’s a pretty interesting list. The post notes that this isn’t a list that ranks games in terms of revenue, just the numbers of downloads. It gives an interesting look at what people were downloading vs. what they were buying in stores.
“A lot of the titles on these lists are to be expected, but there are some surprises tucked in there… Friday the 13th at number three on the PS4 list? Whoa!” the PlayStation blog post states.
Here is the full list:
- Call of Duty: WWII
- Destiny 2
- Friday the 13th: The Game
- Horizon Zero Dawn
- Grand Theft Auto 5
- NBA 2K18
- Rocket League
- Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition
- Madden NFL 18
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands
It is rather surprising to see Friday the 13th on the list, but the other nine games don’t offer many surprises. The other insight, although it’s old news at this point, is that Minecraft is apparently forever.
All in all, PlayStation 4 fans have pretty good taste.
