The World Ends With You tops this week’s big Nintendo Switch eShop update

Tons of games are coming to Switch this week in all kinds of genres

Neku in The World Ends With You: Final Remix for Switch Square Enix

October is already set to be a busy month for games (hello, Red Dead Redemption 2), but Nintendo doesn’t seem to care. This week on Nintendo Switch eShop, there are several games worth checking out, from a classic RPG to an arcade-sports favorite and even a slightly oddball Nintendo-Ubisoft collab.

The World Ends With You: Final Remix is a remaster of Square Enix’s Nintendo DS game, available on a console for the first time. The Nintendo Switch exclusive reimagines what was a unique combat system, along with receiving new content and co-op play. But this is otherwise the same fashionable-as-heck RPG, borrowing Shibuya street style to craft one of the most memorable settings in recent years. (Also, The World Ends With You: It’s good.)

A hard left turn is Starlink: Battle for Atlas, an action game from Ubisoft that’s reminiscent of Star Fox. It probably helps that Nintendo once again teamed up with the publisher to bring Fox McCloud into the Switch version of Starlink; there are several levels based around the pilot, and you can even play as Fox in his famous Arwing for the full game. Yeah, there are other customizable ships, and the main storyline has little to do with Star Fox, but we haven’t had a good game in that series in a while, so we’ll take anything Fox-related that we can get.

Other games include the fifth edition of The Jackbox Party Pack, which we’ve already spent some time with; NBA 2K Playgrounds 2, for those who like their basketball players tiny; and ports of mobile-favorite Game Dev Story.
