The latest trailer for the third season of Marvel’s Daredevil brings back Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, who was put behind bars at the end of season 1.
It looks like Fisk is released from prison at the beginning of the show’s third season. He claims he’s a changed man, but Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) knows otherwise. Murdock vows to put Fisk away for good this time, but Fisk taunts him, saying he doesn’t have what it takes. Cue dark and angry Daredevil in a makeshift mask out for vengeance — but will he go too far?
“Just be careful that you don’t become the monster,” says Sister Maggie (Joanne Whalley), Matt Murdock’s mother, who appeared in the last moments of The Defenders.
There are shots of a similarly clad masked figure committing various heinous crimes, as Fisk declares him the true menace of the city. Murdock confronts this doppelganger, who announces that he’s simply “Daredevil.”
But who’s behind that mask? It’s strongly suspected to be Bullseye, one of Daredevil’s prime foes, who was featured in the 2003 movie. What does this mean for Murdock’s future as Daredevil?
Season 3 of Marvel’s Daredevil premieres on Netflix on Oct. 19.
