Spider-Man’s next chapter is all about Hammerhead

The next chapter in Marvel’s Spider-Man’s The City That Never Sleeps downloadable content is coming to PlayStation 4 on Nov. 20, developer Insomniac Games announced Tuesday. Titled “Turf Wars,” it will focus on Hammerhead, the New York gang leader with a surgically enhanced, vibranium-covered skull.

Hammerhead — the organized crime boss known for his obsession with the mob’s glory years and a cranium surgically enhanced into a deadly weapon — has declared war against the other Dons of the Maggia, and are using equipment left by Sable International during its occupation of Marvel’s New York. Spider-Man and Yuri Watanabe will have to team up to put an end to the violence that has erupted in the streets of the city.

Expect “brand-new story missions, bases, crimes, challenges, and trophies,” Insomniac said.

You can also expect three new unlockable suits: the classic Iron Spider suit from The Amazing Spider-Man comic books; Peter Parker’s bulletproof Spider-Armor MK I; and the Spider-Clan suit, from the pages of Marvel’s Mangaverse comic books.

Marvel’s Spider-Man “Turf Wars” will cost $9.99, and is included as part of Sony’s The City That Never Sleeps DLC bundle ($24.99) and the Digital Deluxe version of Spider-Man ($79.99). The third chapter in the DLC, “Silver Lining,” is due in December.
