Ryan Gilliam (he/him) has worked at Polygon for nearly seven years. He primarily spends his time writing guides for massively popular games like Diablo 4 & Destiny 2.

Destiny 2’s Black Armory — the first of three expansions included in the game’s Annual Pass — will launch on Dec. 4, and include a wide variety of mysteries to discover.

While we know the date for Black Armory, Bungie is still being quiet on the details of the expansion itself. In the studio’s weekly blog post, Bungie announced that it’ll release a video preview that will detail Black Armory on Nov. 27, which should help players know what they’re in for.

Later in the post, Bungie noted that the current Season of the Outlaw and the Lost Cryptarch quest will end a week before Black Armory officially arrives and wrap up the Forsaken narrative arc. As with Forsaken, Destiny 2 will have a strange, transitional week as one expansion fades out and another becomes realized. New cosmetic items will come on Nov. 27, but the new features, locations and quests will stay tightly under wraps until early December.

After Black Armory, Destiny 2’s Annual Pass will consist of two more “premium content releases:” Joker’s Wild in spring 2019 and Penumbra in summer 2019.
