While the first teaser for DC Universe’s Young Justice: Outsiders showed only a glimpse of Apokolips, the new trailer shows off more of the metahuman trafficking plot, the country of Markovia and the original team back in action. The trailer also arrived ahead of its release with exclusive Young Justice bonus features available on the DC streaming platform.
Starting on Jan. 4 three episodes of Young Justice: Outsiders will premiere every Friday, until the mid-season finale on Jan. 25, when four additional episodes will drop. The series will then pick back up on June, a typical hiatus that Young Justice fans are familiar with.
If you can’t wait for the return of the fan-favorite show and are itching to relieve the glory of the first two seasons, don’t worry. Not only are they streaming on DC Universe, but special “enhanced” episodes with commentary from creators, fans and actors alike will release every Tuesday starting on Dec. 4. Check out a sneak peak of one of them below:
In addition to the special features, a prequel comic to Young Justice: Outsiders written by series producer Greg Weisman with art by Christopher Jones will release on Jan. 2 and Jan. 3, the days leading right up to the premiere.
Young Justice aired on Cartoon Network’s DC Nation block from 2011 to 2013 and quickly became a fan favorite. After its cancellation, there were many campaigns to bring the show back and in 2016, DC announced a third season, which would air on streaming platform DC Universe. Other DC Universe shows include the current series Titans, and upcoming live-action adaptations of Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing, and Stargirl.
