World of Warcraft: Classic’s demo will last through the weekend

Players have until Monday to explore the nightmare hellscape that is Classic

World of Warcraft: Classic - farm in Westfall Blizzard Entertainment

Players who purchased a Virtual Ticket to BlizzCon 2018 have been able to enjoy a demo for World of Warcraft: Classic over the past week. Blizzard announced today that the demo is not long for this world, and will become unavailable after this weekend. Players who still wish to jump in and play can do so until Monday, Nov. 12.

The World of Warcraft: Classic demo allows players to choose their race and class. However, all characters start at level 15 in either the Barrens for the Horde or Westfall for the Alliance. Players don’t have access to any nearby dungeons, but they can run around, test out skills and do quests in these old zones — up to a temporary level cap of 19.

World of Warcraft: Classic will be released fully next summer, and will be included in World of Warcraft’s monthly subscription. For those with a Virtual Ticket who’ve yet to try out the demo, it’s located under the drop down “Region/Account” menu on the World of Warcraft page of Battle.net.
