Ubisoft is bringing the Assassins and Templars of its Assassin’s Creed games to For Honor, the company’s medieval melee-action fighting game. A three-week event called For the Creed will introduce Assassin’s Creed-themed content, including cosmetics and weapons, to For Honor.
That event kicks off today, Dec. 20, and runs through Jan. 10, 2019.
For the Creed will usher in a limited-time Dominion game mode that pits Assassins against Templars, where players will battle each other wielding wrist blades, Connor’s ax from Assassin’s Creed 3 and other cosmetic items from the Assassin’s franchise. Assassin’s Creed characters like Ezio Auditore and Cesare Borgia will appear as commanders in For Honor’s special event mode.
Additionally, Ubisoft is promising For Honor players an Assassin’s Creed-themed atmosphere, including Assassin’s Creed music and special environmental effects inspired by the Animus, as well as weekly arcade quests, community orders and limited-time cosmetic loot. During a livestream video reveal, For Honor developers teased Assassin’s Creed Easter eggs hidden throughout the game’s multiplayer maps.
For Honor is available for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. The game’s third year of content will kick off on Jan. 31, with four seasons ushering in four new heroes for the knight, samurai, Viking and Wu Lin factions.
