DC Universe’s live-action take on Doom Patrol just got its first teaser trailer, showing off the kooky cast of characters as they take a holiday picture and quip about their various superpowers.
Doom Patrol will be DC Universe’s second live-action show and is set for a Feb. 15, 2019, premiere. The team was introduced in the fourth episode of Titans, a more “adult” take on the Teen Titans. Known as “the world’s strangest heroes,” the superhero team was also featured in the animated Teen Titans series and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. The appearance in Titans was the Doom Patrol’s first live-action one and the upcoming show is the team’s first solo move.
Brendan Fraser (The Mummy) stars as Robotman, a cyborg superhero not to be confused with Cyborg, who is played by Joivan Wade (The First Purge). Matt Bomer (White Collar) joins as Negative Man, and April Bowlby (Drop Dead Diva) plays Elasti-Woman. Orange is the New Black’s Diane Guerrero takes on the role of Crazy Jane and Timothy Dalton of James Bond fame will portray The Chief.
The series follows the Doom Patrol as they receive a distress call from Cyborg that they can’t ignore. It will be available to stream on DC Universe when it premieres in February. Until then, check out these character-themed posters for the show.
