Captain Marvel blasts into action in latest trailer

“Heroes. Noble warrior heroes.”

The new Captain Marvel trailer, which dropped during halftime on Monday Night Football, brings us more Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) and the interplanetary fight she finds herself caught up in.

The previous glimpse of Captain Marvel was more of a teaser, setting the stage for the epic ’90s sci-fi adventure, interspersing Carol Danvers’ intergalactic life with the mysterious mundane past that she can’t quite remember.

The latest trailer expands on more of the brief snapshots we got prior. We learn that Carol’s made a home with the Kree, after they found her nearly dead, with no memory of her previous life. She’s become a heroic warrior among the Kree, but after her crash landing, Carol wants to learn more about her mysterious past on Earth. There’s more de-aged Nick Fury, glimpses of Jude Law’s mysterious character, and a whole lotta energy blasts as Captain Marvel swears she’s going to end an intergalactic war.

And at the end Carol’s cat makes an appearance!

This new trailer drops ahead of the suspected Avengers 4 trailer, which was rumored to debut sometime in late November. There’s still no word on whether it’s coming this week (it’s pretty likely given the connections between Captain Marvel and the end credits of Avengers 4), but for now, let’s just appreciate Carol Danvers kicking some Skrull butt in her crimson and navy costume.

Captain Marvel comes to theaters on March 8, 2019.
