Deadpool 2 trailer introduces Cable through an adorable action figure show

Please hold your Thanos jokes until the end

Deadpool, meet Cable.

20th Century Fox debuted a new trailer for Deadpool 2 today to help introduce Josh Brolin’s Cable, giving the Merc with a Mouth the chance to charm his way into our hearts again with an adorable action figure show. It’s goofy, quirky and filled with just enough snarky humor to make you sigh with adoration. Deadpool is back, baby!

This is the second trailer 20th Century Fox has released for the movie. The first trailer featured a parody of The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross, with Deadpool in the role of the beloved painter. The short tease gave us our first look at Josh Brolin’s Cable, Negasonic Teenage Warhead in a traditional X-Men suit, and Deadpool’s favorite blind landlord, Blind Al, in the sequel. We also saw Hunt for the Wilderpeople’s Julian Dennison in action, although little is still known about his character.

The official synopsis for the movie can be read below:

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor - finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

Deadpool 2, one of our most anticipated movies this year, will be released on May 18.
