Jeff Goldblum is on board for Jurassic World Evolution

Life finds a way

Jeff Goldblum, the actor who portrayed Dr. Ian Malcolm in 1993’s Jurassic Park will reprise his role in the upcoming game, Jurassic World Evolution.

Jurassic World Evolution is being made by Frontier Developments, the same studio behind Elite: Dangerous and Planet Coaster. The game is expected to release simultaneously for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Announced in August 2017, players in Jurassic World Evolution will take control of the operations of Isla Nublar and other islands in the Muertes Archipelago. They will begin from scratch, bioengineering new breeds of dinosaurs and building systems to contain them. Parks will also feature rides and other attractions as well as research facilities.

While Planet Coaster is a relatively tame experience, Jurassic World Evolution promises some very scary moments. The pre-rendered announcement trailer includes one dinosaur keeper being eaten alive.

Both the video game and the upcoming movie, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, will arrive this summer. Goldblum will also reprise his role as Dr. Malcolm in that film.
