Nintendo is giving independent developers some time to shine next week with a new showcase of indie games — or “Nindies” — coming to Nintendo Switch. The live video presentation will take place Tuesday, March 20 at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET.
Next week’s Nindies Showcase can be viewed at Nintendo’s live video website (http://live.nintendo.com) and on YouTube. The showcase coincides with this year’s Game Developers Conference, where Polygon expects to go hands on with some of the Nindies likely to be part of the presentation.
Some notable indie games coming to Switch include Kentucky Route Zero, Runner 3 and Wargroove. The Nintendo Switch has quickly become the go-to platform for indie developers who want to bring their new and existing games to the console, and just about everything under the sun has been or will be ported to Switch soon.
Nintendo’s most recent Nindies Showcase aired last August and featured 20 games, including Travis Strikes Again, Shovel Knight: King of Cards and Super Meat Boy Forever.
