20th Century Fox has released its latest trailer for Deadpool 2, the sequel to 2016’s Deadpool, and, it seems, an X-Force origins movie.
X-Force has been greenlit for their own movie, with Deadpool in tow, but no release date has been pinned to the project yet. The superhero team got its start in the ‘90s, as a black-ops mutant paramilitary team lead by the time-displaced mercenary, Cable, and often found itself clashing with Ryan Reynolds’ sardonic, superpowered mercenary, Deadpool.
In Deadpool 2, it seems as if the relationship has been reversed, with Deadpool forming the team in order to thwart Cable’s (played by Avengers: Infinity War’s Josh Brolin) nefarious ends. Also on that team? A handful of young, spin-off ready mutants, and ... Terry Crews?

Deadpool 2 will hit theaters on May 18, bumped up from its original release date by two weeks so as to avoid coming out in the wake of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Morena Baccarin returns as Wade’s fiancée, Vanessa; and Brianna Hildebrand returns as the young X-Man, Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Zazie Beetz joins the cast as the mutant mercenary Domino.
