April’s PlayStation Plus games include Mad Max, Trackmania

Sony announced its April lineup of PlayStation Plus game giveaways. Compared to this month — which features the stellar Bloodborne, worth a PS Plus membership on its own — and Xbox Games With Gold’s April lineup, this list isn’t much to write home about.

That’s not to suggest that the headlining games this month aren’t worth checking out. Despite its beautiful visuals, Mad Max for PlayStation 4 received a lukewarm response in 2015, but has found some belated appreciation since its release. Trackmania Turbo is also a decent, arcade-style racing game that’s fun for fans of the genre.

The rest of the list serves as a reminder that we’re a year out from Sony dumping PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita games from the PS Plus monthly giveaways in 2019. You’ll find the whole slate of games below. Subscribers can grab them starting April 3.
