FoxNext Games’ mobile game Marvel Strike Force is out today. It’s a free-to-play squad-based action game featuring a selection of 70 Marvel heroes and villains, including Captain America, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Wolverine.
Players select their squad, upgrading each member as they combat bad guys. You’ll get the general idea from the trailer, also released today.
Marvel Strike Force is the first game from FoxNext, which is a gaming subsidiary of Fox. The outfit was set up last year, with access to Twentieth Century Fox Film and Fox Networks Group franchises. It’s also working on a game based on the Alien movies.
Marvel Strike Force is available for Android and iOS, with in-game microtransactions. FoxNext says its Los Angeles-based development team is working on more missions and characters to be released in the future.
