Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker coming to Switch

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is making the journey from Wii U to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo confirmed today during its Nintendo Direct presentation. The Switch version will include new levels based on Super Mario Odyssey, a game in which Captain Toad makes a number of guest appearances.

Nintendo described the new Treasure Tracker levels based on Super Mario Odyssey as “miniature courses,” so expect some smaller puzzle-level experiences. The Switch version will also feature a two-player mode: “While one player controls Captain Toad, the other can assist with things like turnip cover fire,” Nintendo said.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is also coming to Nintendo 3DS. The portable port will include touchscreen controls and stereoscopic 3D visuals.

Both Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for Switch and 3DS will be released July 13. Check out some screenshots of the Switch version in the gallery below.
