Get the Amnesia Collection for free on Steam for a limited time

Frictional Games is offering the entire Amnesia franchise in a free bundle for a limited time, and it’s worth picking up if you didn’t get them in a previous deal.

“Add Amnesia Collection to your account permanently and play for FREE starting now for a limited time!” the announcement says on Steam. “The Amnesia Collection includes both Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. Once you click ‘Install Game’ both games will remain in your account after the free period, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to play these two dark survival horror games.”

We were big fans of A Machine for Pigs, despite its departure from the similarly acclaimed first game.

“Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs doesn’t provide the pure scares of its predecessor,” Polygon’s review stated. “Its systems are deeply simplified, its sense of dread less all-encompassing. But it still leaves a lasting impression. The horror it filled me with was more subtle and insidious, and it’s not going to be out of my system for many days to come.”

So yeah, go get these games! They’ll be the perfect thing for a rainy day when you’re in the mood for some horror, or a fun way to get scared this weekend.
