Red Dead Redemption has been added to the list of games that receive significant visual improvements over the original release, including a bump to 4K resolution, when played on Xbox One X. The differences are dramatic. You can watch a detailed comparison of the original game and the upgraded version in the video from ElAnalistaDeBits at the top of this post.
Red Dead Redemption looks amazing on an Xbox One X
Time to revisit Red Dead Redemption in 4K
Watching Red Dead Redemption run in 4K is like putting on glasses for the first time: Textures are crisper, details pop out of the background and it’s much easier to see what’s happening in the distance.
The Xbox One X visual update for Red Dead Redemption was released yesterday to a decent amount of fanfare, but but it doesn’t feel like people got excited enough, now that we’ve seen what a difference the new visuals make.
This is a great excuse to replay the original before the sequel comes out, or to jump into the game for the first time. Red Dead Redemption seems like a must-play experience if you have an Xbox One X.
