The Incredibles 2 is just two months away from finally hitting theaters, and that means we’re entering a period of heavy marketing — starting with a new trailer, naturally.
This is the first trailer we’ve seen since a special-look video appeared during the Olympics in mid-February. That trailer focused heavily on Mr. Incredible’s time at home with the kids, while his wife, Elastigirl, ventured out to meet a wealthy tycoon and try to bring superheroes back into the spotlight. It’s all a little Cheaper by the Dozen, but with superheroes.
The new trailer does a good job of setting up the premise of the sequel, which director Brad Bird said at D23 last year will center around Elastigirl. The Incredibles 2 picks up right where the original 2004 film left off, according to Bird. With Elastigirl out trying to make superheroes mainstream again, it will be up to Mr. Incredible to teach baby Jack-Jack how to control his powers, while helping his other kids with their homework.
The Incredibles 2 will be released on June 15.
