Fortnite’s latest patch (version 3.6) brings sticky grenades, called “clingers,” to both Battle Royale and Save the World modes. The way they work is pretty simple: You throw them, they stick to enemies or structures and then blow up after 2.5 seconds. Easy, right?
Here are the stats for the new weapon, from the patch notes:
- Rarity: Uncommon
- Location: Floor Loot, Supply Drops, Supply Llamas, Treasure Chests
- Explosion Delay (once attached to target): 2.5 seconds
- Player Damage: 100
- Structure Damage: 200
- Radius: 1 Tile
- Max Stack Size: 10
- Pickup Stack Size: 3
The grenades won’t explode in the air, and will also detonate early if they’re stuck on a structure that is then destroyed. It’s going to be fun to see how players put these grenades to work.
The update also adjusts the minigun with 10 percent greater accuracy and 10 percent less recoil than before. The weapon’s damage has been increased by one point in both the epic and legendary versions of the weapon.
The new patch adds the ability to return up to three cosmetic items for V-bucks, the in-game currency that you can also buy with real money, in Fortnite Battle Royale. You can now return the following items within 30 days of purchase:
- Emotes
- Gliders
- Harvesting Tools
- Back Bling
- Outfits
You can read the rest of the patch notes on Epic’s official site.
