Nintendo revealed the first details about its E3 2018 plans, which largely focus around one intensely anticipated game: Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo E3 2018 plans highlight Super Smash Bros. for Switch
Smash Bros. will feature in the annual presentation, as well as at the show

The annual E3 Direct presentation will air Tuesday, June 12 at 9 a.m. PT, kicking off the event week with a look at several upcoming games. Just as Super Mario Odyssey was the primary focus of last year’s Nintendo Direct, Super Smash Bros. for Switch will receive the most screen time during the presentation.
Nintendo Treehouse Live, the company’s gameplay-focused event that traditionally follows the presentation, will begin once the Nintendo Direct wraps. First on its list: live footage of Super Smash Bros. for Switch, according to the company.
Once the E3 showfloor opens that same day, attendees will get a chance to play the latest Super Smash Bros. game for themselves. With the event open to the public again this year, it won’t just be members of the press who will get to take Smash for a spin — so expect long lines and wait times for that demo.
It’s not all about Super Smash Bros., of course. Nintendo hinted that its booth will also feature upcoming, unnamed third-party titles — and we’d be surprised if planned 2018 releases like Fire Emblem and Yoshi for Switch aren’t on the floor as well.
E3 2018 runs June 12 through June 14.
