The latest full-length trailer for Lara Croft’s next adventure, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, shows the adventurer facing off against the apocalypse as she climbs and jumps and falls (eep) her way through some brutally dark jungle environments. If she makes it out of this one, she will officially earn the title of “Tomb Raider,” according to Square Enix.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider looks much more grim than its predecessor, Rise of the Tomb Raider, which launched in 2015. The other difference between the two: Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be available to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One owners on the same day. Rise of the Tomb Raider was originally a timed console exclusive on Xbox One; it didn’t come to PS4 until one year later, in 2016.
Both consoles will also receive the Ultimate Edition set of the game, which includes its season pass that adds seven additional challenge tombs and side missions, as well as unique items and outfits.
We got a chance to play Shadow of the Tomb Raider at a Square Enix event in Montreal earlier this week, so look for our impressions on what other changes Lara Croft has gone through in the last three years.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will launch Sept. 14 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
