Blizzard announced today that World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, the massively multiplayer game’s seventh expansion, will be released Aug. 14. The news comes only a few months after players nearly broke the game pre-ordering the new expansion.

Blizzard also announced that the collector’s edition for Battle for Azeroth, a physical version of the game, will be released the same day. This version comes with all the Digital Deluxe goodies as well as a few other cool additions. Unique to the Collector’s Edition are the big box, a double-sided Horde/Alliance medallion, a double-sided Horde/Alliance novela and the Battle for Azeroth digital soundtrack.
While we’re unsure of the exact price, the World of Warcraft: Legion Collector’s Edition two years ago cost at $89.99 and likely that BFA will follow suit.
Battle for Azeroth promises players all the fantastic late-game additions from the previous expansion, Legion, as well as new activities like Island Expeditions and Warfronts. The expansion also tells the story of the two player factions finally coming face to face in all-out war.
This raises the age-old question: Horde or Alliance?
