PUBG’s next event is shotguns and melee weapons only

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will get a special three-day event starting later tonight, and the theme seems to be togetherness. The mode is called “Tequila Sunrise,” and it will only spawn shotguns and melee weapons on Miramar. No other weapons, no other maps.

Find some friends, because this event mode is for four-person squads.

This is how the gear will behave for this event:

Weapons

• Shotguns (3x spawn rate)
• Melee Weapons (3x spawn rate)
• No other weapons

Items

• Bag/Helmet/Armor Lv.3 (3x spawn rate)
• Bag/Helmet/Armor Lv.1 (0.5x spawn rate)
• Ammunition (3x spawn rate)

There is other interesting behavior on the map as well. The first safe zone will be visible the moment the plane is in the air, and that safe zone will be smaller than normal. This is a mode that’s going to get the players together very quickly, and you won’t have to be worried about getting picked off at a distance.

The event begins tonight at 10 p.m. ET and ends on April 7 at 10 p.m. ET.
