PSA: Toys R Us gift cards expire in two weeks

This is a friendly reminder that Toys R Us customers holding gift cards with a balance on them have a limited time to use them: April 21, to be exact, which is two weeks from Saturday.

This PSA is coming up because, for some reason, Bed, Bath & Beyond mentioned it would accept Toys R Us gift cards for store credit, in case you wanted to cash out in votive candles and a margarita dispenser. But blink and you might miss that offer: It’s good only until tonight at 11:59 ET.

More details are available through Bed Bath & Beyond’s “Card Cash” website, where it accepts cards from about 200 other retailers. So Toys R Us’ looming shutdown may have something to do with the urgent deadline there. However, that transfer can take place over the web; you don’t have to go into a store or buy something there. (The store credit will also not be the full amount you have on the Toys R Us card).
