Fallout 76 is the next entry in the Fallout series, the long-running Bethesda Softworks franchise. The past few Fallout titles — including Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4 — have all been single-player open-world role-playing games from Bethesda Game Studios, set hundreds of years after a nuclear apocalypse. But it sounds like the developer may take the series in a new direction, at a different point in the Fallout timeline, with Fallout 76.
