Luke Cage is set to return for a second season in just a couple of months, and a new trailer hints at what to expect.
There’s a new and vicious monster in Harlem for Luke to stop. The trailer doesn’t tease too much about the villain, but a new synopsis suggests Cage will also go to war with his own beliefs. Much like Captain America: Civil War, a movie about confronting the consequences that often come with being a superhero, the second season of Luke Cage will force him confront his own personal responsibilities in the havoc being wrought on Harlem.
The official synopsis for the season can be read below:
After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.
Luke Cage returns for a second season on June 22.
