Monster Hunter: World is getting Final Fantasy 14 enemies

Look at that Sabotender

Popular Final Fantasy 14 monsters are making their way to Monster Hunter: World.

As seen in the trailer above, players will be able to hunt down Behemoth, one of the biggest baddies in FF14, who can summon meteors from the sky and is a generally hard guy to deal with.

The trailer also showed a Sabotender (or Cactaur) monster as well, springing up from the ground. It’s unclear whether it will be a monster to hunt and fight or one that will simply appear in the game. Based on this trailer, it seems like Behemoth is going to be the main focus of the event.

Final Fantasy 14 is also getting some Monster Hunter: World loot, like a special raid, a Palico minion and some special emotes. While the FF14 event has a level requirement, it doesn’t seem like the Monster Hunter side will require anything specifically to participate.

This collaboration is announced to come this summer to Monster Hunter World players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for free.
