American and European fans of the Persona series will have a chance to join their favorite characters for an all-new dance adventure next year. Two rhythm games — Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight — which star the casts of their respective Persona titles, are gearing up for an international release in early 2019.
Both games were released late May in Japan and follow in the tradition of an earlier Persona dance title, Persona 4: Dancing All Night.
Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight take the familiar characters of each Persona game and whisk them away to a mysterious room, known only as Club Velvet. There, the Specialist Extracurricular Execution Squad (SEES) and the Phantom Thieves will find themselves confronted by the enigmatic residents of this secret room and forced to perform at a strange and magical dance party.
The game will include soundtracks from Persona 3 and Persona 5, as well as all-new remixes by ATOLS, Lotus Juice, Taku Takahashi and Jazztronik. Several dancing difficulty levels are available, as well as a partnered dance mode. Players can also connect with their favorite characters through conversations and mini-events and customize their play experience with costumes and accessories.
The game is available in either English or Japanese, with subtitles in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight will be released in the Americas and Europe in early 2019 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The games will be available to demo at E3 at the Atlus/Sega booth from June 12 to 14. More information can be found on the Persona website.
