In four years, Amazon Prime Day has gone from a weird anniversary thing Amazon was doing to a (made-up) national shopping holiday. It’s gotten so big that Prime Day doesn’t even belong to Amazon anymore — many online retailers are running their own competing deals with many of the same benefits as Prime.
While we’re busy rounding up the best discounts from Amazon Prime Day, there are still some great deals to be had if you’re not a Prime member. Best Buy, Dell, Target and eBay are all running competing sales. We’ll keep updating this list, as we have been for Amazon, with the best finds from across the internet today.
Best Buy
The “Big Deal Days” two-day sale at Best Buy is mainly focused on 4K TVs, but PC gamers can also find some pretty good deals on accessories too. Many of Amazon’s Prime Day deals monitors have sold out already, so if you’re in the market for a gaming display you may want to check out Best Buy.
- Acer Predator 27” LED FHD GSync Monitor — $369.99 (usually $599.99).
- Alienware 34.14” IPS LED UltraWide HD GSync Monitor — $999.99 (usually $1,299.99).
- Dell Inspiron 15.6” Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti - 256GB Solid State Drive — $649.99 (usually $899.99).
- Xbox Live Gold 3-month membership with free $10 Xbox gift card.
Dell
Dell’s “Black Friday in July” sale started at the beginning of July, and they’ve now moved on to “Cyber Week in July.” The best deals were on the limited-time-only doorbusters, but you can still save on some of Dell’s Alienware gaming PCs.
- New Alienware 15 — starts at $1,399.99 (usually $1,799.99).
- New Alienware 17 — starts at $1,699.99 (usually $1,899.99).
- Alienware Aurora — starts at $1,599.99 (usually $1,989.99).
Target
Target’s “One-Day Sale” is online only and includes a six-month membership to its Prime Now competitor, Shipt. Target is also matching Amazon’s $5 off a $20 book purchase deal today.
- New Nintendo 2DS XL — $129.99 (usually $149.99).
- Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon — $29.99 (usually $39.99).
- 20th Anniversary Edition Harry Potter books are 20 percent off.
eBay
When it comes to Amazon Prime Day competition, eBay is on a whole other level. Today’s promo code PRIMO119 will save you $25 off a purchase of $119, which you may recognize as the cost of a year of Prime. The code, which eBay has been using in different variations over the past week, is conspicuously one letter away from Prime. eBay is backing it up, though, with some pretty killer deals.
In addition to the $25 coupon, eBay shoppers can save on consoles, games and accessories. Mario Tennis Aces and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are both on sale for $45.99. A Nintendo Switch, bundled with a carrier and screen protector, is on sale for $279.99 which is brought down to $254.99 with the PRIMO119 code. (Yes, that’s a better deal than Amazon’s Prime Day bundle.)
- Mario Tennis Aces on Switch — $46 (usually $59.99).
- Breath of the Wild on Switch — $45.99 (usually $59.99).
- Nintendo Switch bundle — $254.99 with code PRIMO119 (usually $299.99).
- Xbox One X 1 TB — $374.99 with code PRIMO119 (usually $499.99).
