It wasn’t all Aquaman and Shazam during Warner Bros.’ San Diego Comic-Con panel this year. The studio managed to spare a little time for magic.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald received a new trailer today, spotlighting some of what fans can expect from Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) and his relationship with the evil Grindelwald, as well as a new look at an important Harry Potter character. Dumbledore, still in his prime and teaching transfiguration at Hogwarts, will play a big role in the film as he partners up with Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to track down and capture Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) — a dark and nefarious wizard who also happens to be the subject of Dumbledore’s infatuation.
This is the first new trailer for the film since the debut teaser in March, which first introduced a much younger Dumbledore.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, the second in a five-part series based on J.K. Rowling’s 2001 book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, will be released on Nov. 16.
