Serious collectors have useful new tool to use

Destiny Sets via Polygon

One of Destiny 2: Forsaken’s most useful features is the upcoming Collection tab, which will let players track all the gear they’ve collected and pieces they’ve yet to come across. Curious players now have an unofficial way to check their collection progress pre-Forsaken, although they won’t be able to re-print their gear to use in-game just yet.

Thanks to a recent update to the Destiny 2 API, Destiny Sets now acts as an unofficial Collection tab for players. By visiting the website and signing in with their Bungie account, players will be able to see which current gear the Collection system plans to track this September.

Destiny Sets is also highly customizable, allowing players to change their settings based on what they’re looking for. Titan-only players can turn off Warlock armor completely if they wish, keeping them focused on the pieces that really matter to them. If the API hasn’t correctly credited a player for something, signing in with Google will allow players to manually check off items as well.

While far from perfect, this current tool will help Destiny collectors learn what they still have left to hunt down before the new content arrives. It’s also a great way to specifically track Eververse gear that players may be missing before the offerings change in September.

Destiny 2: Forsaken will be released on Sept. 4 for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
