Destiny 2’s Solstice of Heroes event is live, offers 400 power armor

Guardians will have until Aug. 28 to earn the most powerful gear and re-live their painful memories

Destiny 2’s Solstice of Heroes event is live now, and will continue until Aug. 28. The Solstice of Heroes is a new in-game event for Guardians in the Destiny universe, and it simultaneously memorializes the tower and celebrates the return of the Traveler in Destiny 2’s base campaign.

The event allows players to journey through old story missions for Ikora, while also playing through Destiny 2’s world content, strikes and PvP in new ways. While adventuring through the Solstice, players will be able to upgrade a new armor set to level 400. This is the only way to get 400 power armor before Forsaken is released on Sept. 4.

Solstice of Heroes will also offer new cosmetic rewards from Eververse, just like with Destiny 2’s other holidays. Players will be able to earn these new Eververse rewards by in-game means or through loot-box style purchases.

Solstice of Heroes is free for all Destiny 2 players and does not require the purchase of the Curse of Osiris or Warmind expansions.
