The Elder Scrolls Online: Wolfhunter gets a release date

Arrives Aug. 13 on PC, Aug. 28 on consoles

The Elder Scrolls Online is still going strong more than four years after its initial launch. Today, ZeniMax Online announced a release date for its next expansion, Wolfhunter, which lands on PC Aug. 13 and consoles Aug. 28.

In Wolfhunter, players will go up against the daedric prince Hircine and fight against werewolves. Lycanthropy has been part of the Elder Scrolls series going all the way back to The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall in 1996 and, famously, in the Bloodmoon expansion for The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind.

The team also unveiled a first look at the expansion to follow, called Murkmire. It will take players into the Black Marsh, the homeland of the reptilian Argonians. Game director Matt Firor said it will, among other things, unveil “why they’re so weird.”
