Your Nintendo Switch library is about to get a whole lot fuller. Nintendo’s four biggest Switch games are discounted by 25 percent at Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart. It’s not clear whether this was a Nintendo-authorized price drop or a case of one retailer offering prices that others quickly match, but the bottom line is that you can pick up some major Switch titles for $45 each.
First-party Nintendo Switch games rarely go on sale for more than a few bucks off, and this is the first time we’ve seen them all discounted at the same time at multiple retailers. Details on the included games are below.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Probably the most anticipated Switch launch title, the latest entry in the Zelda franchise more than lives up to the hype. We saw it discounted to the same $44.99 price tag earlier this year, but this is the first time in a couple of months that it’s been on sale for less than $50.
Super Mario Odyssey
Nintendo’s most iconic character lives up to his full potential in Super Mario Odyssey. In Polygon’s review, we called it “an essential addition to this historic canon.” Amazon already sold out, but you can still grab it for $44.99 at Walmart and Best Buy.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
While the newest Mario Kart game wasn’t a hit when it came to Wii U, it’s a much better fit on Switch because it’s easy to pick up and a lot of fun to bust out at a party. The Switch version has never been on sale below $50 at Amazon, so if you missed it on Wii U, now’s a great time to fix that.
Mario Tennis Aces
This is the first big discount we’ve seen on Nintendo’s newest Mario game. Like Mario Kart 8, Mario Tennis Aces is way more fun in a group. We’ve never seen a Nintendo game get a 25 percent discount within a few months of release, but it probably should have been $45 all along.
