Crytek’s competitive monster-hunting shooter, Hunt: Showdown, is coming to Xbox One, the developer announced at Gamescom on Tuesday. Hunt: Showdown will be available in early access initially as part of the Xbox Game Preview program, which is home to in-development games like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Gwent and Vigor.

In Hunt: Showdown, players take on the role of a bounty hunter in search of monsters hidden in the swamps of Louisiana. Crytek’s game offers a high-tension, high-risk and high-reward experience, as players must not only battle against terrifying monsters in teams of two, but must also contend with other players fighting to steal their bounty. As we said in our preview of the PC version of Hunt, the game blends cooperative and competitive elements of titles like Evolve, Escape from Tarkov and Tom Clancy’s The Division into something new and compelling.

Hunt: Showdown launched on Windows PC earlier this year. The game is currently available on Steam as part of Valve’s Early Access program.
