500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro - vertical console, controller and camera Sony Interactive Entertainment

Sony’s 500 Million Limited Edition PlayStation 4 Pro bundle, which includes a gorgeous translucent blue PS4 Pro console with copper details and 2 TB of storage, goes on sale Friday, Aug. 24. The company has only manufactured 50,000 units, so if you’re interested in scoring one of these beauties, you’ll need to act quickly.

The 500 Million bundle includes a matching DualShock 4 controller, PlayStation Camera, mono headset and vertical stand in addition to the console. It will retail for $499.99. In September, the controller will be available separately for $64.99, and a limited edition headset will be available for $99.99. (This is not the headset that’s included in the bundle.)

A few other retailers will be selling the 500 Million bundle, but they haven’t confirmed timing. Target has listings up for the bundle, controller and headset. Best Buy lists the bundle and controller. Amazon briefly displayed a landing page for the bundle itself on Tuesday, but has since removed it. It still might be worth checking this evening to see if it’s back up.

As with any launch like this, most recently with the NES Classic, the key to getting your hands on the coveted console is patience and persistence. It’s also a good idea to make sure that you’re logged in to whatever site you’re using, and ensure that all of your shipping and billing information is already in the system. The last thing you want is for the bundle to sell out while you’re entering your credit card number.

We’ll continue to update this post with new information as we have it.

Update (10:10 a.m. EDT, Aug. 24): An earlier version of this post listed the incorrect time for GameStop pre-orders. That information has since been removed. Although we confirmed the timing with a GameStop representative multiple times, pre-orders for the 500 Million Limited Edition PlayStation 4 Pro bundle went live on GameStop an hour earlier than this post indicated, at 12:01 a.m. EDT, and quickly sold out.
