In an Inside Xbox livestream during the Gamescom 2018 conference on Monday, Microsoft gave us a first look at some of the new games coming to the platform and revealed which upcoming titles will get Xbox One bundles. It was also announced that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be added to Microsoft’s game streaming service, Xbox Game Pass, on Sept. 1. To celebrate, Microsoft is offering a month of Xbox Game Pass for $2 (usually $9.99) and throwing an extra month in for free.
Amazon announced this week that one of the best benefits of Amazon Prime, a 20 percent discount on video game pre-orders, would be replaced with a $10 voucher program. The change will become official on Aug. 28, so if there are any games you’re definitely going to want to play when they come out later this year, you have a few more days to pick them up at a 20 percent discount.

Commerce Team Picks
- Blizzard’s latest collaboration is not one you’d expect, but the results are weirdly cute. The new World of Warcraft baby carrier from manufacturer LílléBaby is decorated with baby Murlocs, and comes in three sizes, including an adorable child-sized stuffed animal or doll carrier. World of Warcraft baby carriers are available from both LílléBaby and Blizzard.
- Sony revealed four new color schemes for its PS4 controllers, due to be released in September. The berry blue seems to be the most popular, but I think all of them are very pretty. Pre-orders for the new controllers are up at Amazon and GameStop, with the exception of the copper color, which will only be available at GameStop on launch.
- Fantasy author N.K. Jemisin became the first three-time winner of the prestigious Hugo Award this week, for her fantastic Broken Earth series. If you haven’t read the trilogy, set in a kind of magic apocalypse, I highly recommend checking them out. A box set of all three novels will be released on Oct. 2.
