Nintendo announced that Samurai Gunn 2 would be coming to the Nintendo Switch during today’s “Nindies” livestream. The game will feature an all-new adventure mode that you can play by yourself, or with friends. The game even features a story, about a city that’s growing too quickly and the issue of ... gunpowder overdoses?
Also, Samurai Gunn 2 exists! This is a great surprise, and the Nindies livestream was an unexpected but welcome place to hear about the game first. This seems like a good fit for the console.
You can also play against up to four friends in the versus mode, which looks similar to the original game, but features improved controls along with new characters and new levels. If you haven’t played Samurai Gunn, imagine something that’s a bit similar to TowerFall but with every player getting a gun, a sword and three bullets per life.
The Nintendo Switch version will also come with a digital Samurai Gunn graphic novel by French artist Valentin Seiche.
Samurai Gunn 2 will be out in early 2019. No other platforms were announced.
