One of Destiny 2: Forsaken’s biggest features is the new Collections tab, which will let players track and re-acquire weapons or armor that they’ve gotten over the past year. In anticipation of this new change, the current collection tab attached to it will be disabled one week before Forsaken’s launch.
Compared to what we’ve seen of Forsaken’s Collections tab, the current offering is very limited. Players can currently re-acquire any exotic weapons or armor that they’ve already collected in Destiny 2, even if they’ve deleted them before. Player emblems are also stored here.
The ability to access any of these items will be completely removed when the pre-patch hits on Aug. 28. While the vault will still be accessible, players won’t be able to re-print any emblems or exotics in that week. Considering that the pre-patch will introduce the new weapon changes to Destiny 2, everyone will likely want to have a copy of each exotic before the feature is removed and replaced with the improved Collections tab in Forsaken.
Bungie also revealed that Nightfall strike scoring will be turned off completely at the start of the pre-patch. However, the developer did not announce when or if it will return. Instead, Bungie promised that it would reveal more information on strikes in all forms before the expansion is released.
Destiny 2: Forsaken launches on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One Sept. 4.
