Some of our favorite indie games get their well deserved time in the spotlight this week at the Humble Store. Humble is running a “Mega Indie Week” sale with up to 90 percent off some excellent games from indie studios. Cult hits like Rocket League and Cuphead are included, as well as the recently updated No Man’s Sky. Check out our best bets from the sale, or head over to the Humble Store for a full list. This deal ends on Monday, Aug. 6.

Our friends over at SB Nation are very excited that NFL season is right around the corner. If you like your football in both video and IRL games, Walmart is offering 15 percent off the streaming service NFL Game Pass when you pre-order Madden NFL 19. The standard edition of the game will launch on Aug. 10; the Hall of Fame edition will launch on Aug. 7.

  • The new three-quarters size arcade cabinets from Arcade1Up are the most accessible way to get a retro gaming cabinet in your home. They’re versatile, lightweight and now, thanks to a price drop at Walmart (and matched at GameStop), $100 lower than announced. Arcade1Up cabinets will be released on September 25 for $299 each.
  • Headed back to school? Check out our gift guide for a bunch of suggestions on devices, subscription services, backpacks and other swag to start the year off right. My personal favorite is this giant Snorlax bean bag that just seems made for a dorm room.
